I think there should be a special day just for Father in laws. My father -in -law Bill Rutledge has always been like a father to me. We have hunted together, fished together, gone to high school football games together and gotten in trouble together. (Once on a turkey hunt but that is a different story). This man not only has been like a father, he is someone I dearly love and respect. He has a wisdom about life that NO ONE could have taught me but him. I don't know of very many father in laws in this world that has told their son in laws that they love them, but friend my father in law has told me that. But there again Bill has known me since I was just 17 years old. (He could have sued my parents for child support as much as I was out thier house.) Bill and I have a special relationship that goes beyond that old "in law" title. We have a father son relationship.
I have always called him Dad because he fits the "Bill" for that to me.
