Temptation

Do you have a problem with temptation? 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
In a nut shell, God is telling you that even though you are a Christian, you will not escape temptation. As a matter of fact the Satan hates you even more and will pursue you even harder. Don't be afraid because God says I will give you a way out.
Here is the part that you must play in all of this. You have to take that way out. The way out is as Nancy Reagan said about drugs, just say no! That is what Jesus did when He was tempted. The devil asked Jesus to turn the rocks into bread and Jesus just told him flat out NO!
Now I have heard "the temptation was just to great", that is hogwash. God said He provided a way out, you made the choice not to take it.
The problem is you don't hate sin. To be Christ like, you HAVE TO HATE SIN. The more you say no the easier it becomes to overcome the temptation and Satan gets tired of it.
Growing up you hear it's wrong to hate, but then you read in the Bible that God hates sin. If God hates sin, we as His children should also hate sin.
Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying we are ever going to be perfect, but as a Christian we are to work towards being perfect.
When you do sin, Repent of it immediately. Repent is more than asking for forgiveness, it is saying forgive me and I will not do that again. If you don't fully repent you are not fully sorry for your sin. HATE SIN!
